LUT-Wonder racing team released new racing cars in Liaoning University of Technology (LUT) on September 15. Vice president of Wonder Group Mr. Liu Yongdong and vice principal of LUT Mr. Liu Zhen'an attended the launch event and unveiled the 3 new cars independently developed by LUT: 7th generation fuel formula racing car, 4th generation electric formula racing car and 1st generation self-driving formula racing car.
Co-established by Wonder Group and LUT in 2011, the racing team acts as a platform for scientific and technological innovation and talent training between the two parties. The team has participated college student formula racing at home and abroad for dozens of times and has been awarded China's Most Influential Team by Society of Automotive Engineers of China.
Initiated by Wonder Group, LUT established self-driving racing team in 2017. As one of the 13 self-driving racing team in China, it will begin its first competition in 2018. The new self-driving racing car released today is the first one in the universities of Liaoning province, which demonstrates the innovation and application in self-driving technology contributed by Wonder and LUT.
Zeng Qingdong, chairman and president of Wonder Group and founder of LUT-Wonder racing team, was honored as "lifelong tutor" for the team on the conference.
